Energy cannot be made, it cannot be destroyed. So how do we 'generate' electricity then? Well, 'generating' doesn't happen. It is the wrong word to use. We merely convert energy, from one thing to another.
Burning coal, which contains energy, releases energy (in the form of heat). This heats up water (transferring the energy), which, in turn, will move a turbine. All through the transfer of the same amount of energy. All a 'generator' does, is convert the motion of the turbine to electrical energy. We have the same energy as we started with in the first place, but now the energy is more accessible.
It amazing to think that while everything in the world seems to function as it does, there is one figure that can describe the amount of energy in the world. It doesn't change, but we still don't know what it is.
What if we could see energy? Would we be able to discover any more about our planet?

If we could see energy i think we would all be in utter awe to care about discovering the world.

Yes, I suppose we would be in awe! But what if humans could see energy, from the beginning of their existance? What would the differences be between that world and what ours is like now? Thanks for the comment :)
ReplyDelete"Do you not think that we as humans are the cause of the shortage of energy, the energy is there, we are too many. Am I wrong?"

Yes of course! Not only in energy but in food, water and wealth as well. Some people have loads, some people have none. It's not the amount, it's the distribution.
